Issaquah's Title 18 Land Use Code Update
What in the world is Title 18 and what does it have to do with Climate Change? Title 18 is Issaquah’s Land Use regulatory code that guides how we use our precious bit of earth. It covers many areas that affect our carbon emissions. And thanks to Mayor, Mary Lou Pauly, the City of Issaquah is doing a major overhaul of its Title 18 regulations 2021-22 with plenty of opportunities for public input!

Title 18 regulations reflect the city’s plans including its Climate Action Plan.

You can influence our Land Use Codes by attending meetings and by providing written or oral public comment. The agenda and materials for each meeting generally come out the Friday before the meeting and can be found on the City’s Website.

Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust
The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust leads and inspires action to conserve and enhance the landscape from Seattle across the Cascade Mountains to Central Washington, ensuring a long-term balance between people and nature.
Weaving together the urban and the wild, the Greenway connects 1.5 million acres surrounding Interstate 90, including the 15th-largest metropolis in the United States. More than 900,000 acres of land are now publicly owned, from city parks to expansive public forests. Another 100,000 acres are conserved as permanent private forests.
